Roger Mario Canchola

Roger Mario Canchola

Roger Mario Canchola was born in Chicago, IL, and later moved to Nogales, AZ in 1976
when his father, Jose L. Canchola, opened his first McDonald's in southern Arizona.
Roger started working for the family business as a teenager, doing all aspects of
employment at the McDonald's in 1977. His father instilled in him a strong work ethic
and a sense of responsibility to the local community.

Roger graduated from the University of Arizona in 1990 with a degree in business. He
became a franchisee of McDonald's in 2008 and now owns six restaurants in Tucson.
He has served on various committees with McDonald's, including the Hispanic Owner
Operators Association.

Following his parents' example of giving back, Roger has a passion for the Tucson
community and proudly supports various charitable organizations. He has supported
various scholarship programs for the University of Arizona as well as the athletic
department. The Ronald McDonald House is very near and dear to his heart, as his
parents were instrumental in bringing it to Tucson. He also loves supporting local
schools, The Salvation Army, The Southern AZ Community Food Bank, Emerge! Center
Against Domestic Violence, and other similar organizations.

In his free time, Roger loves playing golf and spending time with his family, which
includes three sons and two granddaughters.
